SELIM BAYRAKTAR

CONSERVATORY PHYSICAL MOVEMENT TRAINER

Born in 1975 in Kirkuk , Iraq , to a Turkish father and a Kirkuk mother, the actor finished primary school in Kirkuk and came to Turkey with his family in 1987.

After graduating from the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory Theatre Department in 2000 , he worked for a time at the Diyarbakır State Theatre .

In 2007, he moved to the Antalya State Theatre and continued his studies there. He performed in plays such as Othello , Sırça Kümes , and Bay Kolpert .

He made his television debut in 2006 with the character Erdal in the series Köprü . Then, in 2009, he portrayed Mahmut Pasha in the series Bir Bulut Olsam . He became famous with the character Sumbül Ağa in the historical television series Magnificent Century , which began airing on Show TV in 2011. He later appeared in the films Romantik Komedi 2: Bekarlığa Veda , Kırmızı , and Aşk Sana Benzer . The actor also played Hakan in the series Gecenin Kraliçesi , which aired on Star TV , and Edip in the series Ufak Tefek Cinayetler . He also starred in the web series Görmen Adam , written and directed by Onur Ünlü, as Eşref Şerif. In addition to his television projects, he appeared in the film Arada , written and directed by Selim Bayraktar and Mu Tunç , as Resul.
