After completing his secondary education at Maltepe Anatolian High School, he was accepted into the Theatre Department of the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory for his undergraduate studies. He graduated in 1987. After graduation, he began working as an intern at the Trabzon State Theatre. He worked there until 1991. After working at the Istanbul State Theatre from 1991 to 1992, he was transferred to the Antalya State Theatre. After working in Antalya for approximately eight years, he was transferred to the Istanbul State Theatre in 2000. He currently serves as a staff artist at the Istanbul State Theatre. In addition to his work at the State Theatre, Tüfekçioğlu has also produced numerous television series and films.
