Sermet Çağan's play, *The Leg and Foot Factory*, depicts how those in power—feudal lords, politicians, and judges—exploit the people to protect their own interests at all costs .
As long as we exist within this system, the same cycle will repeat itself, affecting every aspect of the people.
The play, which points to the fact that time will never allow the oppressed and exploited to escape, is one of the first examples of the social realist theater style that emerged after 1960.
