Saloz's Fable,
The film critically examines, from the perspective of both the oppressors and the oppressed, the thirty-six-year rule of Antonio Salazar, who came to power in Portugal in 1932 amidst a heroic reception, and how this period transformed into a dictatorship, characterized by increasing oppression, violence, and exploitation.
In *Saloz's Fable*, we see the effects of colonial history and class conflict, as well as the concept of property, on human history since its inception, through the lens of Salazar-era Portugal.
It tells the story of colonialism, a system that humanity created and enslaved itself through, moving from the subjective to the universal.
